I was equally good at English and Science but hated school. I left at 16 to do 5 years paid training in electronics, subsequently getting a position writing manuals for complex measuring and Xray equipment.
Being more interested in people than things I used my qualification in electronics to transition to psychology, taking a degree in brain science at Sussex University.
