I, Peet, was educated in business and finance but left this field when I was 26. After traveling for 2 years and doing some odd jobs I ran our secondhand bookshop for about 10 years. Since 2007 we run BioThee, dedicated to providing consumers, retailers and restaurants with high quality organic loose leave tea and herbs.

And I’m Hagar, Peet’s other half. Have been working for 17 years in a school based on Rebeca and Mauricio’s Pestalozzi. Currently I’m a doula, a carer, doing catering for (Subud) events and locally, and owner of BalancingNutrition.es - helping women of 40+ reach a hormonal balance and a much more gentle menopause by knowledge about our hormonal system and the nutrition it needs to work in its ultimate way.

In this beautifully renovated olive mill, many original details have been preserved such as the millstones and the oil jugs. The result is a holiday accommodation with a unique style and historic interest, with open, light spaces surrounded by thick stone walls that insulate warmth and cold.

The accommodation is divided into two buildings separated by a courtyard of approximately 200 m2. This space is surrounded by a characteristic wall with wrought iron gate and contains lawns, flowers, fruit trees and a swimming pool (6 x 3 M.). Usually the rustling of the wind through the adjacent eucalyptus trees is the only sound that disturbs the silence.

The main house, with its large kitchen, dining room, living room, hall, bathroom and one of the bedrooms, offers a beautiful view of the green and fertile valley of the Rio Guadalfeo from the kitchen and the adjacent covered south terrace. The total floor space of the house is 220 m2, a large part of which is occupied by the living room.

The olive mill has 3 bedrooms: 1 with a double bed, 1 with two single beds and 1 with 3 single beds (the single beds can be joined comfortably). One of the bedrooms is in the main building. The other 2, both with en-suite bathrooms, are located in the house on a slightly higher level in the courtyard. Baby cot and high chair are available. Wifi inside and throughout the garden. TV with Netflix and Youtube.

The renovated olive mill is pure luxury, rustically furnished. The "Granada Walk No 7" starts near the mill. From here it goes up into the nature reserve and to the white mountain villages of the Alpujarras. In addition, there are also shorter walks directly from the mill in the beautiful valley including one with lots of shade. There is also a telescope in the mill. Because there is absolutely no light pollution in the area, you can see the clear starry sky up close after sunset.

Parking is about 80 meters from the property on the lane that comes from Orgiva. From there it is a short climb to the mill (There is no car access to the house). Orgiva is 12 minutes by car from the mill and has shops, bars and restaurants to meet all your needs. Don't feel like leaving the house / terrace for a restaurant visit? With lots of love and experience we provide catering in consultation with regards to preference and / or diet. Transport from and to the airport can also be arranged. In case of a longer stay, an interim cleaning can be arranged.

From Orgiva the drive to the sea (Motril / Salobrena) takes 35 minutes and to Granada 1 hour. On a hill overlooking the city of Granada is the Alhambra, the last fortress and palace of the Moors. Definitely worth a visit for its gardens and fine Moorish architecture (advance booking is recommended in high season). The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is at the same distance.
